Performance Requirements
> 25,000 SF- Data Verification: Must verify inputs with a licensed pro (PE/CEM).
- Timeline Shift: Option to delay performance targets to 2028 & 2032.
Colorado (BPC)
Regulation 28 Overlap- 2026 Evaluation: The State is actively monitoring emissions for the Jan-Dec 2026 period.
- The Overlap: Denver timeline shifts do not delay State GHG targets.
Small Building Requirements
5,000 - 24,999 SF- Option A: Upgrade lighting to 90% LED.
- Option B: Source 20% renewable energy (Solar).
- Action: File a one-time report upon completion.

Specifics on the 2028 timeline shift, Condo/HOA exceptions, and the State overlap.
Warning: This does not delay the State of Colorado (Building Performance Colorado) requirements. You may be safe from City fines until 2028, but you could face State fines starting in 2027 if you ignore the 2026 performance period.
This is a mandatory audit of your inputs (square footage, meter data, property use types) signed by a Qualified Provider (PE/CEM). We provide this service to ensure your baseline is locked in correctly before penalties begin.
Requirements include:
- 100% LED lighting in common spaces.
- Occupancy sensors in common spaces.
- Sourcing renewable energy (Solar) equal to 100% of the common area electricity usage.
- 15,000 - 25,000 sq. ft.: Was due Dec 31, 2025 (Overdue).
- 10,000 - 15,000 sq. ft.: Due Dec 31, 2026.
- 5,000 - 10,000 sq. ft.: Due Dec 31, 2027.
This includes tax liens, receivership, or "Financial Solvency Concerns" (defined as a Debt Service Coverage Ratio of less than 1.5). We can help you compile the necessary documentation to file for this hold.
