Kansas City Energy Empowerment Ordinance (EEO)
The Kansas City Energy Empowerment Ordinance (EEO) requires mandatory annual energy and water benchmarking for all large buildings. Don't risk penalties or waste staff time struggling with utility data acquisition.
Annual Energy Benchmarking
Compliance is mandatory every year by May 1st for municipal buildings >10,000 sq. ft., and commercial, industrial, institutional, and multifamily residential buildings >50,000 sq. ft.
Avoid Compliance Penalties
While the EEO aims to drive awareness, the City enforces compliance. Failure to submit a complete and accurate report by May 1st can trigger fines of up to $ 2,000 for subsequent violations.
The single biggest obstacle to compliance is data aggregation and Portfolio Manager errors. We eliminate these risks.
